Only too often, the "care" part of healthcare seems to have been forgotten by mainstream medicine. That creates an atmosphere in which it becomes a political issue. Gaia Health does not turn away from that fact. The more you learn about it, the more you must come to grips with that fact. Whether healthcare is a right or privilege is an issue, of course, but virtually every facet of our care becomes subject to whether a profit can be made—and nothing could be more political than that.

Who controls the agencies that are tasked with overseeing the medical system? Who gets to decide what we can and can't take into our bodies? Who determines what kinds of healthcare are available? These and many other issues are being tackled by Gaia Health—and we won't pull our punches.
