Proof of Childhood Vaccinations' Lack of Effectiveness and Dangers

by Heidi Stevenson

15 November 2009 Graph showing childhood flu mortality related to flu vaccine

In a dramatic and easily accessible document, Raymond Obomsawin, PhD, graphically exposes both the lack of evidence to support any significant benefit from childhood vaccines and the dangers inherent in them. Because it's important to assure that such a dramatic document is based on good sources and facts, I have verified much of the data to assure its validity— enough to be confident that it is completely accurate and in no way misleading.

Immunization Graphs: Natural Infectious Disease Declines; Immunization Effectiveness; and Immunization Dangers (PDF) provides information in an easy-to-grasp format and clearly cites sources, Ironically, much of it comes from agencies, like WHO and the CDC, that strongly support childhood vaccinations. Other sources include Scientific American, Cochrane Collaboration Database, and The Lancet. These are sources that even the most jaded of vaccination proponents must take seriously.

The Document's Author

Dr. Raymond Obomsawin, the document's author, holds a PhD in health science and human ecology. He serves as president of the Hawaiian research and development group, Circle of Nations Institute of Life Sciences & Sustainable Development. He has published dozens of papers focusing on aboriginal health and lore. He was co-chair of the United Nations' Environment Program—Convention on Biological Diversity Ad Hoc Technical Expert Group on the Potential Impacts of Genetic Use Restriction Technologies (commonly referred to as terminator seeds). He spearheaded the first world-wide intersectoral review funded by a western government on Indigenous Culture Based Knowledge Systems in Development.

In the preface to a paper Obomsawin authored, Universal Immunization, Medical Miracle or Masterful Mirage, he describes its purpose as a response to the WHO's campaign for massive vaccinations:

As a review document, this report poses an open challenge to the scientific, developmental, and humanitarian basis of this global public policy, in turn urging national governments to establish a far more rational, effective and harmless inter-sectoral approach in seeking to ensure that the children and families of our world community enjoy lifelong natural immunity to infectious diseases.

Infectious Disease Declines Before Vaccinations

The first section, "Natural Infectious Disease Declines Preceding Public Immunization Efforts" demonstrates how little, if any, credence can be given to claims of vaccine efficacy. Graph after graph, from several nations, clearly shows the decline in incidence of several communicable diseases, both for those that have vaccines and those that don't.

Lack of Immunization Efficacy

The next section, "Immunization Effectiveness" focuses on data from several studies documenting little or no value in vaccines. The first several graphs are pie charts, each associated with a different study. While this information is valid and well sourced, pointing it out to vaccination proponents is unlikely to be helpful, since they can come back with citations purporting to show the opposite, and do so from the same journals.

However, the section continues with graphs from developing nations showing rates of infection and mortality from several childhood diseases over 20 years or less, with the point at which innoculations for the diseases were initiated. This is compelling, clearly showing that disease rates often increased after the onset of vaccinations.

Immunization Risks

The third section is about immunization dangers, and it's compelling. The first graph, which documents the mortality rates for children under age 5 in eight major nations and includes the number of vaccinations performed on those same children, will get your attention. To assure that the data was cherry-picked, I went to the sources. I have provided a document, Countries, Mandated/ Recommended Vaccines for Children Under Age 5, and Mortality Rates of Children Under Age 5 (PDF) that consists of data from Generation Rescue's website, originally sourced from WHO, which I verified.

The tables include the first 34 nations by child mortality rates. The data is sorted three ways and displayed in three separate tables. The first is by country name. The second table has the data sorted by the number of vaccinations mandated. The third shows the data ranked by mortality rates. The trend of high vaccination rates equating to high mortality rates is impressive.

The most impressive graph of all is next. It documents data from the CDC showing that the mortality rate of children under age five after the flu vaccines were mandated as part of childhood immunizations increased precipitously.

Following that are several graphs documenting strong links between vaccinations and several conditions, including:

  • SIDS, known also as crib or cot death, linked with pertussis vaccine.
  • Inflammatory bowel diseases (ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease).
  • Ear infections.
  • Throat inflammation.
  • Aggressive behavior.
  • Convulstions and collapse.
  • Antibiotics administered.
  • Sickliness.
  • Eczema.
  • Asthma and other chronic lung diseases.
  • Allergic reactions.
  • Difficulty sleeping.
  • Diabetes.
  • Autism.

Brilliant Presentation

Dr. Obomsawin's presentation is brilliant. In only 30 pages he presents an easy to follow graphical representation of the travesty called vaccinations, which have been foisted upon the children of the world. It's compelling viewing, based on the highest quality data, often from the very sources that would deny the conclusions any thinking person must reach on examining it.

Please, review Dr. Obomsawin's presentation before considering taking your child for another vaccination, and inform parents of small children about it. You may be helping to rescue young lives from the debilitation of chronic disease or death.
